Join us for an immersive retreat delving into the intricate dynamics of psychotherapy, focusing on enactments, countertransference, and the therapeutic use of self in EMDR Therapy.
Enactments, subtle patterns of interaction between therapist and client, deeply influence the therapeutic relationship, offering pathways for exploration and transformation. This intensive explores how therapist and client contribute to enactments, blurring the boundaries between verbal and non-verbal communication within the therapeutic space. Through a neurobiological and relational perspective, we'll examine these interactions as opportunities for insight and growth.
Participants will gain insights into the role of countertransference, viewing it not as a hindrance but as a valuable source of information about the therapeutic relationship and the client's inner world. Processing case consultation and experiential exercises, we'll learn to leverage countertransference reactions to enrich our understanding of the client's experience and enhance the EMDR therapy process.
Emphasizing the therapeutic use of self, this intensive underscores the importance of the therapist's presence and authenticity in facilitating meaningful change. By cultivating reflective awareness and attunement to relational dynamics, participants will learn to navigate enactments with sensitivity and skill, fostering an environment conducive to growth and healing.
Whether you're an experienced clinician or new to the field, this retreat provides a unique opportunity to deepen your practice and nurture healing within the therapeutic relationship.
